Notice version: v1.0 (placeholder) · Last updated: 27 August 2026
Draft for legal review. This is a starting scaffold, not final legal copy — it is not legal advice. This page should always render the exact current version published from the Admin Panel's Consent Notice Version Publisher, never a hand-maintained copy that can drift from what the app's consent screen shows.

1. Why we're telling you this

Under the DPDP Act, we must clearly tell you what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it, before or at the point we collect it.

2. What we process, and why (purpose)

  • Account & identity data (name, phone, email) — to create and secure your account.
  • Child profile data — to personalize search and manage bookings on your child's behalf; only you, the verified parent, can create or edit this.
  • Booking & payment data — to process bookings, payments, and invoices.
  • Consent records — to demonstrate compliance and let you review/withdraw consent at any time.

3. Your rights

  • Right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and your children.
  • Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure, once your purpose for using Parently ends (subject to statutory retention requirements for financial records).
  • Right to grievance redressal — raise a concern and get it resolved within the statutory timeline.
  • Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

Exercise any of these from the app's Privacy Dashboard (Profile → Privacy). Requests are tracked against a statutory due date and you'll be notified of the outcome.

4. Consent, and withdrawing it

We collect consent at sign-up (account-level) and again just-in-time for anything more sensitive (like KYC documents for providers, or optional medical notes for a child profile). You can withdraw consent at any time from the Privacy Dashboard — this may limit what the app can do for you, but never retroactively makes your prior lawful use unlawful.

5. Data breach notification

If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required under the Act.

6. Grievance Officer

[Insert Grievance Officer name, email, and postal address here, as required under the DPDP Act.]

7. Consent Manager & children's data

Because our users are parents acting on behalf of their children, all consent for a child's data is given and managed by the verified parent — a child never independently grants or manages consent on Parently.
